Introduction
Welcome to Archie Artichoke’s Garden Party Card Games—a delightful collection of classic children’s games brought to life with a fresh, garden-inspired twist!
Whether at home, on vacation, or gathered around a table with family and friends, this unique game set is designed to create laughter, connection, and memorable moments for children and the families who love them.
This thoughtfully designed deck lets children and families enjoy four of the most beloved and fun-to-play children’s card games:
Each game is a familiar favorite, reimagined with the lovable veggie characters from The Adventures of Archie Artichoke children’s book series—bringing personality to every hand.
Created especially for younger players, the cards are slightly larger than standard decks, making them easy for smaller hands to hold, and play with confidence. A durable laminate coating helps resist wear and tear, so the fun can last game after game. The deck includes a full 52 cards to support the Spoon Game, along with multiple “Old Troll” cards that allow for creative variations and added excitement in the classic Old Maid game.
Every set comes as a complete, ready-to-play game experience, including the deck of cards, spoons for gameplay, and easy-to-follow instructions for all four games—everything needed to start playing right away. The entire set is packaged in a convenient mesh travel bag, making it easy to take along on family outings, vacations, picnics, or anywhere fun happens.
Beyond the fun, Garden Party Card Games offer a playful and natural way for children to become familiar with vegetables—one game at a time!
Created with care, imagination, and a love for bringing families together, Archie Artichoke’s Garden Party Card Games are designed to spark laughter, encourage interaction, and create lasting memories with children and grandchildren alike.

Playing Rummy for Kids
Introduction
Rummy for Kids is a simplified version of classic Rummy and Gin Rummy. Designed for young players, it builds matching, counting, sequencing, and turn-taking skills in a fast, friendly game that’s easy to learn and fun to play. Note: this game is a little more challenging than Old Maid and Go Fish!
Objective
Be the first player to discard all cards in your hand by making Sets (matches) and Runs (number sequences).
Setup
Use all 48 Veggie Character cards (12 groups of four matching cards); remove all Old Troll cards.
Players: 2–4. Play moves clockwise.
Deal
Choose a dealer. The dealer shuffles and deals cards clockwise, one at a time:
Place the remaining cards Face-Down in the center as the Draw Pile.
Turn one card Face-Up next to it to begin the Discard Pile.
What is a match?
There are two types of matches:
Important – A player may add cards to any Set or Run on the table – your own or another player’s.
How to play
Adding to sets and runs
On your turn, you may add to any Set of three or more matching cards.
You may also extend a Run at either end. (Example: If 3-4-5 is showing, you may add a 2 or a 6).
Ending & winning the game
The first player with no cards left wins the game!
Note: If no one has won and the Draw Pile is empty – shuffle the Discard Pile and place it Face-Down to form a new Draw Pile. Turn one card Face-Up to begin a new Discard Pile and keep playing.
The printed instructions in the bag include the full rules for all four games, plus inventive variations to keep play fresh.
